Guitarist Myke tells Download FM: I'd be highly surprised if there isn't something else

Myke Gray has told Download FM that after a "dream week" of being reunited, Skin are almost certain to continue working together.

The band recently told Rock Radio DJ Paul Anthony how Andy Copping, Download promoter, encouraged the band to reform for their main stage set this afternoon, which was originally planned to be a one-off.

But after slotting in a few warm-up shows, and enjoying every moment of the build up to Donington, Gray says Skin want to keep the momentum up.

He says: "It's been an amazing week. The guys flew in a week ago on the Friday, we did our first rehearsal on the Saturday, did three warm-up shows, had two days off and now we're here.

"Everything went better than we could have hoped. As soon as we started playing the band locked in. Each show's been a learning curve.

"There's so many reasons why this is working. Now there are families involved, you get to know each others' children. Before that it was isolated - you got your own personal pleasure out of being in the band."

But Gray says the biggest thing the band have learned is the value of their audience: "At the time it was very much about the band, and the connection that existed between the band members. It's more than that - the audience are part of it, and they're more than we are. We realised that in the warm-up shows."

Although Skin had set today's show as the litmus-test for their reuinion, Gray believes they've already proved to each other there's value in getting back in the game. He says: "I'd be highly surprised if there wasn't something else."
